The Need of Those Who Are Hungry is Met
Meeting the Need of the Hungry. Reaching out to those who are Hungry. Weekly we see them come by the church, not only to worship, but also looking for help. With nowhere else to turn, they go to their church and that is how they come to Templo Calvario CDC. The economic crisis raised the already high demand for emergency food resources and food at low cost. We meet the need.
ODA Food Bank (ODA)
- For approximately 25 years, Obras de Amor (ODA) Food Bank has opened its warehouse doors to the Orange County community offering emergency food assistance to many. Through a network of thirty-five faith and community based organizations, ODA provide assistance to families in need. In 2008, an average of 25,000 individuals received assistance from ODA monthly! Presently ODA is being revamped and will be re-opened in 2010.
Angel Food Ministries
- Angel Food Ministries (AFM) is the newest addition to Templo Calvario Community Development Corporation’s Food Resource branch. AFM is a non-profit organization that provides food relief by selling high-quality food through host site churches and organizations in 43 states. Templo Calvario is one of four sites in Orange County.
